Temasek Humanities & Social Sciences School (HSS)was established on 1 May 2001. We were mandated to offer Cross Disciplinary Subjects (CDS) as part of the Flexible Academic System for Temasek (FAST).

In Jan 2003, IGS offered a CDS called Interdisciplinary Project (IDP). This subject is delivered by using an interdisciplinary approach and PBL methodology. Our approach is using PBL as an educational philosophy that provides a holistic, student-centred and student-empowered learning environment.

Our long-term goal is to have more CDS which incorporate PBL as the central pedagogy.
