The Next Step Forward
The
School has produced baseline checklist for quality assurance at the
curriculum design, implementation and assessment levels.
The next angle the school proposes to take is research and further
training. Currently there is a big spread in the levels of PBL practice
in the School. Likewise there is also a spread in the knowledge
and competence levels among staff with regard to PBL use in the
classroom.
The School intends to form learning circles, which can be built
around issues like problem design, assessments, reflection and feedback.
This would help staff to focus and develop skill sets, which will
help grow the School competency even further.
PBL is one of the significant ways used by the Business school to
manage innovative change and achieve collaborative learning. This
approach will be further strengthened as the School moves more into
integrative PBL learning and sets new goals to achieve a thinker-doer
graduate.
