Staff Training
Temasek Applied Science School are always committed to provide all possible training for staff to ensure all staff are competent in facilitating PBL sessions. Our school PBL Task Force works very closely with the Learning Academy to provide trainings for all our existing and new staff.
Learning Academy (TCPBL) Customized Workshops:
Program 1: Understanding PBL
Program 2: PBL as a Learner and Tutor Facilitation
Program 3: Managing the PBL Tutorial Process
Program 4: Managing Large PBL Class
Program 1 and Program 2 are incorporated into the THEC course offered to all new academic staff. These two programs are to provide basic understanding of this new education model adopted in Temasek Polytechnic. In Temasek Applied Science School, all academic staff (approximately 50) has attended Program 1 and Program 2.
To ensure all our staff equip with skills in PBL facilitation, Program 3 and Program 4 are arranged by our PBL Task Force periodically. Currently, 22 staff and 23 staff in Temasek Applied Science School have already attended Program 3 and Program 4, respectively. Program 4 is scheduled on the 7 April 05 for all current staff who have not attended the module. Program 3 will be offered in October 05.
